Power of Youth

 GOOD-BYE SNOW!

The first full week of school in so many weeks! I am hoping this means we are done with the snow for the season! It will be nice to be able to go outside and enjoy the spring weather!

 NEVER AGAIN

The students had their walk out on Tuesday. It was a powerful and intense 17 minutes as over 400 students stood outside to honor the victims in Florida and use their voice to demand change. We were so proud to be a part of this student led assembly.

The library has been busy with senior internship meetings and seniors preparing for their last few weeks of classes. It is hard to believe that these students were once freshmen are now about to embark on the next phase of their lives!

Let It Snow????

 Winter Blues

March has definitely come in like a lion. With all these Nor'easters it has been difficult to string a whole week of school together! It is clearly time for Spring to grace us with it's presence!
We have had lots of books go out to keep people busy during the storms! We just received a new book order so IF next week's storm hits come on down and check out our new selections!!

Back At Work!

Sassy was happy to be be back at work and with her favorite students! She was getting restless at home during all these snow days!

The Joy of Sassy!!!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

“Step with care and great tact, and remember that life’s a great balancing act.”

Every year on March 2nd, Dr. Seuss's birthday we celebrate "Read Across America." This is an opportunity for schools and libraries across the nation to take time out and read! We should all take a moment to slow down, get away from all the craziness of life and read. The library has some great new books in for your pleasure!

The Joy of Sassy!

Sassy is back at school! It has been so busy in the library with English research papers this term that Sassy has not been in much. She is back this week and her timing is perfect. She is so happy to be back with her students and has provided a lot of comfort and joy to all of us in the high school. Nothing makes us happier than to see the joy on students faces as they play, pet and snuggle with Sass! With all the craziness going on, its nice to have something small like Sassy bringing a smile to our faces! Senior Keyette-Lei Neves took these amazing photos of Sassy for her Digital Photography class!
